Innovative Technology Award

HydroFLOW® have received the prestigious Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation.

The HydroFLOW® i range has proven itself to be extremely effective at combating Struvite scale in the waste water environment. Offering simple installation and extremely low running costs the ability of the HydroFLOW® i range to combat struvite could mean an end to plant system shut downs for descaling.

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is a not-for-profit technical and educational organisation of 34,000 members and 75 affiliated Member Associations representing water quality organisations around the world. WEF took in to consideration field data from several USA waste water facilities when making their decision.

Dr. Samuel Jeyanayagam, PhD, PE, WEF Fellow/CH2M HILL, Inc. has also provided third party verification after running trials at the Robert W. Hite Treatment Facility, Denver, Colorado.

National Restaurant Association

HydroFLOW® water conditioners win kitchen innovation award

In 2015, HydroFLOW® was awarded the prestigious Kitchen Innovations award by the National Restaurant Association. The Kitchen Innovations Awards recognises and celebrates cutting-edge equipment and technology that specifically improves the back of the house operations and benefits foodservice operators.

Many processes in the catering industry involve heat, from steam ovens to dishwashers. All these processes are vulnerable to the detrimental effects of limescale. HydroFLOW® water conditioners induce an electric signal into the pipe that prevents the limescale from forming hard deposits and instead causes it for form a as a powder in suspension in the water.

The Melting Pot-Sacramento Proprietor, Michael Frampton says:

“Our investment in the HydroFLOW S38 was less than $600, which we expect to save in just over 14 months by not using water softener. Not only will we save money, but we will also reduce our water usage.”

World Waterparks Association of Ukraine

HydroFLOW® Ukraine conduct successful trials

Pool operators from Olympic size to water parks and household spas constantly try to achieve the highest level of water quality.

In any pool the two main challenges are:

  1. maintaining efficient filtration of the water and;
  2. keeping the bacterial count low without adding too much chlorine.

The “Ukraine Children Recreation Service” prioritises quality service and social responsibility. Accordingly, this trial using HydroFLOW® was proposed. The purpose of the one month trial was to achieve a higher quality of water using a reduced amount of chemicals.

Before the installation of the HydroFLOW® device

  • In order to maintain a concentration of chlorine in the pool, it was necessary to add at least 15 litres per day.
  • The chlorine concentration and the water status was unsatisfactory.

After the trial

  • When using the HydroFLOW®, the use of chlorine was reduced by 50-60%

Following this trial, HydroFLOW® in Ukraine has been awarded a certificate for its water treatment by the World Waterparks Association of Ukraine.
