The Pearl fits domestic pipe sizes up to 24mm (0.94 inches) in diameter.
It works on all pipe materials, including copper, PVC, PEX, and stainless steel.
POWER SUPPLY
UK Plug-In Option – Simply plug the unit into a nearby power socket for an easy, DIY-friendly setup. No specialist tools or technical knowledge required.
Hardwired Option – For a more integrated installation, an electrician can wire the unit directly into your home’s electrical system, providing a more streamlined permanent solution.

The HydroFLOW® Pearl is available with a UK plug for easy installation or a hardwired option for a more integrated setup.
The HydroFLOW® Pearl unit should be installed on the cold-water feed to a boiler, water heater, or key appliance (like a washing machine or dishwasher) to ensure optimal protection for these systems.
If installation on the cold feed is not possible, the unit can be installed on the incoming mains water pipe as an alternative.

The unit has LED indicators:
- Pearl and Pearl Plus have a rotating blue LED pattern, showing that the signal is actively being transmitted.
- K40 and HS40 have a single red LED to confirm operation.
- Commercial and industrial models have red and green light - green for power, red for signal strength.
Does HydroFLOW® require electricity?
Yes, it operates on standard mains power, using minimal energy (around £4 per year for residential units).
How long does HydroFLOW® last?
With no moving parts, units are highly durable. Residential units come with 3 year manufacturer warranty.
Commercial and Industrial units come with 3- or 5-year manufacturer's warranty, but many last over 15 years.
