Key results
923 ppm water handled
Full rollout after 4 months
8+ years still performing

Case Study from HydroFLOW USA

The Challenge

  • A water softener alternative was needed because softeners were unsuitable for the hotel site
  • Well water measured 923 ppm hardness, or 54 GPG
  • Each of the 64 casitas had its own individual water heater
  • Annual maintenance was running at $15,000
  • Softener discharge would have affected the resort’s own wastewater facility

The Solution

Two HydroFLOW® S38 and HS40 units were installed for a four month trial, followed after success by larger HydroFLOW® i Range units across the water heaters, well supply, cooling tower and hot tubs. Scale reduction was observed on the heating elements within four months and maintenance requirements fell across the water heaters, which supported the decision to roll treatment out across the resort. It has been running for over eight years.
