Case Study from HydroFLOW Tunisia
The Challenge
- Drip irrigation clogging affected more than 50% of emitters
- Well restart flushing took 30 minutes or more
- Weekly flushing and acid injection were required
- Daily winter restarts increased water loss and labour
- Microbiologically induced corrosion, biofilm and minerals contaminated the water
The Solution
Four HydroFLOW® custom 10 inch units were installed on wells A127 and D97, two units per well with one before filtration and one after, and evaluated over six months against untreated comparison well D96. The signal disrupts the conditions that let biofilm and mineral deposits bond to surfaces, so MIC activity was inhibited, wells and pipework ran cleaner and flushing intervals extended from 5 days to 20 days.
